England vice-captain Ollie Pope worked hard in the second innings of the opening Test match against India in Hyderabad to save the team from a delicate situation on the third day.

Pope scored a brilliant century on the third day at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad to help England take a 126-run lead against the Rohit Sharma-led side.

Pope scored his first century against India, his 5th overall in Test cricket, taking England's total to 316/6 at stumps on the third day.
